About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our Australian team. Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, you will play a key role in maintaining and expanding our user base, driving customer satisfaction and growth.
We’re looking for someone with strong political knowledge, a passion for technology, and a customer-centric mindset.
What you will do
- Proactively engage customers during critical lifecycle events: renewals, executive business reviews, stakeholder engagements, etc.
- Manage and grow a pipeline of cross-sales, product upgrades, and contract renewals, meeting quarterly targets.
- Master the GovConnex platform and new products, delivering customer adoption playbooks and training.
- Support GovConnex customers, resolving product-related issues from start to finish in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Use phone, chat, email, and video conferencing to optimise customer experiences.
- De-escalate and resolve issues with platform and industry expertise.
- Become a go-to product expert for customers and colleagues alike.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in product, support, and customer operations to drive customer success and secure long-term commitments.
- Approach the role with an entrepreneurial mindset.
What you will need
- Strong self-starter who is energetic and takes initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 2+ years of experience in account management, sales, or quota-carrying customer success.
- Sydney-based.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and experience in process improvement.
- Knowledge of the Australian political system.
- Interest in technology and software.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing responsibilities.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Ability to travel to Canberra quarterly.
